Directions to Hayne House Bed and Breakfast

Hayne House is situated about 8 miles north of Exeter, it is easily reached from either the A396 Exeter to Tiverton road (Exe Valley) or the B3181 which is accessed from the east.

From Exeter take the A377 towards Crediton; on the outskirts of Exeter at Cowley Bridge take the A396 to Tiverton. After passing through the villages of Stoke Canon and Rewe continue on the main road past a filling station and when you reach the Ruffwell Inn (now closed) turn right immediately opposite the car park. In a short distance bear right to Bradninch and continue straight across the next two crossroads. Immediately after Poundsland Cross turn right signposted Hayne. We are half a mile down the lane on the left.

From the M5 Motorway . Leave at J27 and take the A361 Link Road towards Tiverton. Take the second exit signposted Bickleigh A396. Continue on this road and after passing through Bickleigh IGNORE TURNINGS TO SILVERTON Continue until the Ruffwell Inn (now closed) and turn left. Follow the directions above.

From the West A30 take the A377 towards Exeter and follow directions above.

From the East (A30/A303) leave at Daisymount and take the road towards Rockbeare, continue until you see a brown tourist sign to Killerton. Turn right to Broadclyst go through the village and turn right along the B3181. Turn left over the motorway (brown tourist sign to Killerton NT ) and keeping Killerton House on your left continue towards Silverton. Go through Ellerhayes and at Red Cross turn left signposted Hayne; after half a mile turn left to Hayne. by a stone garden wall. We are half a mile down the lane on the left.

Alternatively, if you are on the A303 you may like to use the A398 to Taunton from Southfields Roundabout and come on the M5, directions as above. This is usually a quicker route but not as scenic as the A30.
