We have
retired from farming and the land is let to another farmer who has
dairy replacement heifers and free range organic laying hens who
produce the eggs for your breakfast/
Hayne
House is in an excellent area for touring and we are within an easy
drive of both the south and north Devon coasts; with Exmouth being the
closest. The Cathedral City of Exeter with shops, theatres and the
impressive Quay area is easily reached.

explore.

Lovely villages nearby
include Thorverton and the pretty thatched village of Bickleigh where
Simon and Garfunkel are reputed to have written 'Bridge over troubled
water' while staying alongside the River Exe. Bickleigh Mill for
shopping and restaurant, together with the Castle and the Trout Inn are
also here.
Silverton with its pubs for meals and shops including an award winning
butcher is 1 mile away.

There
are local footpaths to walk with leaflets and maps to borrow. From
Criss Cross (one of the highest points in Devon off the moors) there
are fabulous views ranging from Wellington Monument, Blackdown Hills,
Dartmoor and Exmoor down to the estuary at Exmouth.
National
Trust properties are also easily reached, Knightshayes, Castle Drogo
and A'La Ronde are within an easy drive and for the energetic Killerton
is within walking distance across the fields and through the park.
